  • Türkiye Mobility

    In the week of October 23 to 27, the last mobility of the project took place in Konya (Türkiye). In this case, only teachers travelled to the turkish city.

    This mobility took place at the University of Konya. Teachers from each of the participating countries stayed in the city of Konya to be able to attend all the final events that took place.

    The week began in the university auditorium, where in front of representatives of the institution, other university professors and students, everything that had been done in the project was shown. The observed results were also indicated and the final video of the project was shown, based on the performances carried out in each mobility in each country.

    The week continued with the visit to the university and the faculty of arts, where several projects related to sustainability carried out there were shown. To finish, a cultural visit was made to the city and the area, where you could see traditional dances, typical foods, archeology and geology, as well as learn about the history and culture of the country and the area.

  • Italy mobility

    In the week of September 25 to 29, the last mobility with students took place in Giarre (Sicily – Italy).

    Our students made several cultural visits to different historical cities, including a wonderful walking route to the Etna volcano. They also went to the University of Catania for a conference with an expert on climate change, where they learned how climate change influences and possible solutions. At the end, a play was performed about the drought, a very present problem in our lands as well as in Sicily. Finally, they also learned about the operation of the Liceo Leonardo de Giarre center.

    Our students stayed with Giarre families and shared many experiences. They were also able to enjoy Italian and Sicilian cuisine and cook with their families.

  • Romania mobility

    After having to postpone the mobility to Turkey due to the devastating earthquake that shook the country in February, it was time to move to Romania.

    From May 15 to 19, Scoala Gimnaziala Nr. 7, in Botosani, welcomed the participating students to carry out activities around Extreme Temperature Highs – associated heat waves.

    The activities that were carried out were:

    • Conferenceabout the extreme temperature highs impact on Romania
    • Assisting a conference about Climate Change and Environment.
    • Trip to Voronet, Gura Humorului. Cultural andHistorical tour
    • Visit in Suceava:Bucovinean Village Museum, The Fortress of Suceava
    • Performance about Extreme Temperature Highs

  • Spain mobility

    Last week took place the Spain mobility. This time, the topic was Flood, a natural disaster that is becoming more frequent due to the climate change.

    Along this week, from October 17th to 21th, several activities were carried out:

    • Visiting the most interesting places from the area: Palau Ducal, the beach, …
    • Assisting a conference about Climate Change and Environment.
    • Cultural and Historical tour in Valencia. Knowing the impact of the “riuà” (big flood) in the city in 1957.
    • A performance about Flood.

    Poland mobility

    From May 23th to 27th took place the Poland mobility. Students from the participating countries had the opportunity to meet and get to know the beautiful city of Gdansk. In addition, they carried out a performance about storms.

    Romania mobility postponed

    Unfortunately, due to the humanitarian crisis caused by the war between Russia and Ukraine, as well as the concern expressed by some families about it, it has been decided to postpone this mobility.

  • Climate Change webinar

    Climate Change webinar

    With the aim of improving knowledge about climate change among all the students and teachers involved in the project, a webinar was held yesterday.

    It was given by Jean Gasse, who already gave us a workshop on climate change during the mobility carried out in France.

    With more than 100 participants, it was a great success.

  • First mobility: Collège et Lycée Saint Guilhem, Clermont L’Hérault, France

    First mobility: Collège et Lycée Saint Guilhem, Clermont L’Hérault, France

    Last week the first mobility of the project took place.It was held in the Collège et Lycée Saint Guilhem, Clermont L’Hérault, France. The main objective of this first mobility was to coordinate the partners in order to plan the activities that will be carried out throughout the project.

    Along these five days, from November 29th to December 3rd, participants had the opportunity to carry out the following activities:

    • Knowing the functioning of the center by attending classes related to their subjects.
    • Visiting a wind farm where they could see first-hand its operation and impact on the area.
    • Attending a workshop on climate change and natural disasters.
    • Specifying future activities in the different participating countries.

    In addition to this, of course, we had the opportunity to enjoy doing a bit of tourism and visiting wonderful places like Carcassone or Saint Guilhem le Désert.

    On behalf of all the participants, a special recognition, to the coordinator of the project and mobility, Brandine Caceres, for organizing these days so marvelously. Thank you for your effort, patience and dedication.
